A Beretta 9mm handgun was stolen from a residence in the 1400 block of Calumet Avenue.
A Middletown man told police that he received a call from a collections agency because he owed more than $1,400 to Verizon. The company was offering to lower his payments. The man told police he doesn’t have a Verizon account or a Verizon phone.
Two males were seen entering a vacant property in the 3700 block of Greenwood Drive. A woman said she saw two men crawling through a window of the home. Police checked the residence but found no one inside. Police secured the property.

A Middletown man said his Percocet prescription was stolen from the 300 block of Bellemonte Street while he was incarcerated.
A manhole cover was reported stolen from the 1100 block of Kunz Avenue. A black trashcan was placed over the hole to prevent anyone from stepping or walking into the hole. The city was notified to replace the cover.
A woman who lives in the 1500 block of Meadow Avenue found a black nylon bag that contained a pair of bolt cutters near the AK Steel fence. She said there had been several garage break-ins in that area.
Police found two males walking westbound on Ninth Avenue, in the middle of the street. When police contacted them, they found that Matthew Brown, 44, of Ninth Avenue, and Jangonda Harris, 43, of Ninth Avenue, had warrants. Brown had a warrant through Middletown Municipal Court for assault, and Harris had a capias through Butler County for possession of cocaine. Police searched Harris and found that he had .98 grams of cocaine. He was charged with possession of cocaine in addition to his warrant.
