An man described by police as an older driver was cited for failure to control after a six-car accident in the northern Jungle Jim’s parking lot today.

Police and emergency medical crews were dispatched at 2:11 p.m. Monday to the international market on Dixie Highway for a report of a vehicle striking multiple vehicles, as well as a pregnant mother and at least one of her two children, according to police.

Not all six vehicles involved sustained damage, said Fairfield police Sgt. Lori Cresap.

The man was cited for failure to control, and he was picked up at the scene by a family member, she said.

One of the children had some minor scrapes, and the mother was transported to an area hospital because she was pregnant, Cresap said.
