Restoration Hardware signs lease for new Centerville store

Restoration Hardware has signed a lease to open a new 36,000-square-foot outlet store at 985 S. Main St. in Centerville, Anthony Pinto, commercial real estate manager for Huber Managemenet Corp., said this morning, Sept. 2.

The Centerville store — the first for Restoration Hardware in the Dayton region — will be an outlet store, which will have discounted prices compared to the California-based luxury home furnishings retailer’s “Gallery” stores, Smith Osei, manager of a Restoration Hardware store in Virginia, said last month, when the retailer hosted a job fair for the new store, even though the lease hadn’t yet been signed.

Osei said plans call for hiring about 20 employees, and opening the new store this fall. The retail space previously housed a Stein Mart store, but has been vacant for at least five years except for a handful of pop-up sales, according to Nathan Cahall, development director for the city of Centerville.

Restoration Hardware operates stores in the Kenwood Towne Center near Cincinnati and in Easton Towne Center in Columbus. The company calls itself “a luxury brand in the home furnishings marketplace offering furniture, lighting, textiles, bathware, décor, outdoor and garden, as well as baby and child products.”

Terms and length of the lease were not available. Pinto represented the landlord in the deal, and Restoration Hardware had no broker, Pinto said.
