Sentenced Handed Down In May 2004 Home Invasion

A Clark County man is going to prison for robbing his elderly neighbor's home last May.

On Thursday morning, a judge sentenced Todd William Buckney, 35, to 40 ½ years behind bars. On May 23, police said, Buckney held three women at knifepoint while robbing their Plattsburg Road home in South Charleston.

Detectives said Buckney left a key piece of evidence at the scene -- a pair of pantyhose he wore over his face. They said his DNA was found on the pantyhose.

Earlier this month, a jury took less than an hour to convict Buckney on multiple counts of aggravated robbery and abduction.
