The Ohio SPCA Adoption Center in Lima is over capacity due to having over 200 cats and kittens.

“In order to continue high intake of cats in need, we need adopters,” said shelter manager Rebekah Stuard.

In hopes of finding homes, the center is reducing adoption fees for the month of September.

Adoptions fees for cats 10 weeks to one-year will be $50 and for cats over one year will be $25.

“All cats and kittens have been neutered, vaccinated, wormed, tested for feline leukemia and FIV, and micro-chipped. All they need is a home,” Stuard said.

The center, 3606 Elida Road, is open from 3 to 7 p.m. Wednesday through Friday and noon to 4:30 p.m. Saturday.

If you can’t adopt, you can donate to the shelter online at OhioSPCA.org.
