Missing 6-year-old Indiana girl found safe

Leila Veney has been found safe in New Jersey, according to CBS affiliate WANE-TV.

New Haven Police Department investigators say her father, Leon Venney, turned himself in to the police department.

FIRST REPORT:

The New Haven Police Department in Indiana has issued a statewide Silver Alert for a missing 6-year-old girl.

Leila Veney, who is believed to be in extreme danger, was last seen on Oct. 27 at 8:30 p.m. wearing a pink jacket, purple unicorn shirt, black tiger print leggings and black boots.

She is 4-feet-tall, 50 pounds, and has black hair and brown eyes.

Leila may be with Leon Veney, 34. He is 6-foot-9, 245 pounds, and has black hair and brown eyes.

Leon is driving a black 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee with New Jersey license place C82LRH.
