Officers and jail medical staff responded and began live saving measures. Richmond Fire and Rescue also assisted in the effort. However, the efforts were unsuccessful.

Lamb was incarcerated in Sept. 11, 2019 and was scheduled to be released on Jan. 22, 2020. He was serving time for a conviction on the charge of a Level six felony Intimidation and Public Intoxication, the release said.
Wayne County Sheriff Randy Retter requested an investigation into Lamb’s death. An autopsy is scheduled.
The incident is under investigation by the Indiana State Police and the Wayne County Coroner’s Office.
