Steve graduated from Illinois State University in 1986, majoring in Mass Communication, and interning at WEEK-TV in Peoria. His first professional job was at WALB-TV, the NBC affiliate in Albany, Georgia. He later moved to WBOC, the CBS affiliate in Salisbury, Maryland, where he spent the next 17 years, and became the main anchor at 6:00 and 11:00.
During his career, Steve has worked in many newsroom jobs; handling duties like producing, anchoring, and reporting. Steve says that he is thrilled to be back in the Midwest—despite the winters. And he says Dayton is a great place to live. Steve enjoys all types of auto racing, and has attended the Indianapolis 500 more than 30 times.
Steve enjoys any vacation that involves blue water, palm trees, and sand!!
