Kettering police said its detective section has received multiple complaints of suspicious activity at the house. Upon setting up surveillance and following up on tips, police discovered suspects committing illegal drug activity.
Logan Butts, 26, of Dayton, was arrested on an outstanding felony theft warrant of Montgomery County after he tried to flee on foot. Christopher Zink, 24, of Beavercreek, and Darrin Crumb, 52, of Dayton, were arrested on charges of drug trafficking.
Kristina Lovett, 39, of Kettering, was arrested on charges of permitting drug abuse and child endangering. Police said two girls, a 14-year-old and a child in preschool, were in the home. Both are now with a family member.
A fifth suspect, David M. Hutchinson, 37, of Dayton, was arrested this afternoon after attempting to break into the house. He had a felony probation violation warrant from Montgomery County and is also facing two counts of drug trafficking, according to police.
The house has been condemned by an inspector with the City of Kettering. The house had not running water, and power that was being fed into the house was set up illegally.
Heroin was also seized at the house. Formal charges are pending.
