Deputies said their initial investigation revealed that Danielle Stark, 25, of Greenville, was traveling northbound on State Route 121 when the vehicle drifted off the left side of the road and struck a DP&L pole and a telephone junction box.
According to deputies, Stark was trapped inside her vehicle and was rescued by Versailles firefighters. Her daughter, Hannah, was in the back seat of the vehicle. Both were taken to Wayne Health Care for treatment.
Deputies said Hannah Stark was pronounced dead at the hospital due to injuries she suffered in the crash. Danielle Stark was transported to Miami Valley Hospital, where she is listed in stable condition.
The crash remains under investigation.
