Mother, 3-year-old son transported to hospital following serious Fairfield crash

The intersection at Ohio 4 and Boymel Drive is now open.

UPDATE @ 12:24 p.m.:

Fairfield emergency crews responded to a crash at Boymel Drive and Ohio 4 intersection that resulted in two injuries.

A 2006 Ford F-350 was traveling north on Ohio 4 in the right through lane when at 10:38 a.m. today collided with a 2003 Toyota Camry headed west on Boymel Drive, according to police.

 

The driver of the Camry, a 26-year-old woman, and her 3-year-old son, suffered injuries in the accident and were transported to West Chester Hospital by ambulance, according to police.

The driver of the pickup truck, a 51-year-old man, did not report any injuries, according to police.

The Ohio 4 and Boymel Drive intersection remains closed as the accident is still under investigation, police said.
