The employee reported to police that while reviewing merchandise it was noticed the tags on two rings had been switched and were not the rings that had been for sale, rather they had been replaced with other rings, according to a police report.
The report said while reviewing the security camera footage it was discovered that Checklick was responsible for the theft of two rings valued at over $500.00.
This investigation is ongoing and may result in additional charges, as Checklist is believed to be linked to several thefts in the Fairfield and Hocking County areas.
The Clark County Sheriffs Office arrested Checklick for passing bad checks at another local antique business on Monday.
