A long time resident of Dayton, Ohio, passed away on Monday, May 31, 2021, at 93 years of age. Joan is survived by her son, Randle Foster of Oak Ridge, TN, her daughter-in-law Rosemary Foster of

Powell, TN, three granddaughters, Mallory Foster, Kelsey (Foster} Sheen, Meredith

(Foster) Rogers and grandson, Aaron Foster. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren, two stepdaughters and one stepson, as well as her much loved niece and nephew-in-law Diana and Martin Tassoni. Joan was predeceased by her beloved husband, William (Bill) Foster in 2005 and her second life partner, Harry Harrah in 2019, her son, Brad Foster, great-granddaughter, Natalie

Rogers and sister, Mildred Jordan Brooks. Jo was born Beverly Joan Foster on April 26, 1928, to Leander Jordan and Carrie Lee Bodenhammer in Greensboro, NC. She and Bill married on July 4, 1949, and moved to Dayton, Ohio, where they built their successful lives with their two sons and made many close friends over the years. Jo was an extraordinary cook, lover of art and an avid bridge player which culminated in gaining the title of Master. She was a very special lady and will be missed by many.
