STAMBAUGH, Geneva "Granny"

98 of Springfield, peacefully passed away Sunday, January 3, 2021, in her home with her family at her side, following a brief illness of congestive heart failure. She was an avid homemaker, gardener and baker,

especially known for her

"chocolate chip cookies". She was born in Paintsville,

Kentucky, the daughter of

Millard and Martha Salyer. She was married to John Stambaugh and together they raised 2 children, Delores and J. Roger Stambaugh. Survivors include her children, Delores McEnaney and J. Roger (Carol) Stambaugh; Stepchildren, Grace Hasik and Reginia Pelfrey. Grandchildren: Deborah Brown, Bryan (Laura) McEnaney, Jennifer (Dave) Rowland, Ricky (Jodi) Hughes, and Kathy (Dan) Thornsberry; great-grandchildren, Christopher Hughes, Matthew Brown, Melanie (Jon) VanHoose, Meghan (Chris) Fritts, Justin (Jason) Hennig, Joseph Hennig, Andy Thornsberry, Sara (Parker) Thornsberry, Madeline, Nolan and Quinton McEnaney; six great-great-grandchildren, Keean, Kade and Kylan VanHoose, Addison and June Fritts and Wales Thornsberry; sister, Anna Jewell Blair; step-grandchildren, Tina (Ron) Ody and Trudy (John) Meyer. Geneva was preceded in death by her husband John, son-in-law Patrick McEnaney, three sisters, Mabel Teach,

Pauline Klontz, Irene Stapleton, brother, Raymond Salyer and step-son John Thomas Stambaugh. Due to COVID-19, there will be no visitation. The family will hold a private graveside service on Saturday, January 9, 2021, in Ferncliff Cemetery with Pastor Carl Ruby officiating.
