Dorothy Marilyn

95 went home to be with her Lord on December 27, 2020, in her daughter's residence. She was born in Cumberland County, TN, the daughter of Lester and Mary Wells. Dorothy was a 1943 graduate of Springfield South High School and a proud member of the East High Street Church of Christ for over 70 years. Dorothy retired from the Social Security Administration after a 20-year career. In her spare time, she could be found reading her Bible and working in her yard. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband of 73 years, Billy Templeton; her parents; siblings Lester Wells, William Wells, Mildred Pennington, and Gladys Stonerock; sister-in-law Rosemary Wells; and brothers-in-law Jim Morris, Don Kieffer, and Tom Stonerock. Survivors include her daughter Marilyn (Carl) Rowe; grandchildren Jennifer (John) Cooney and Rita (Cliff) Chandler; great-grandchildren Alison and Nicholas Cooney, Darren and Jess Ringenberg, and Elisabeth Chandler; step-grandchildren Adam (Debbie) Rowe, Jason (Christie) Rowe, and Linda (Keith) Williamson; several great-great-grandchildren; siblings Charles (Marie) Wells, James (Martha) Wells, Virginia Morris, and Frances Kieffer; and sister-in-law Maxine Wells. Services to honor Dorothy will be Thursday at 1:00 p.m. in the Richards, Raff & Dunbar Memorial Home. Family and friends may call one hour prior to services. COVID protocols will be upheld.
