With over 1,000 board games on site, The Rook features games for every age including: The Cat in the Hat Game, Apples to Apples, 2014 FIFA World Cup Trivia Game and adult games like Cards Against Humanity. Over 20 genres of games are included such as trivia, bluffing, family, party, strategy and family games.
The Rook, owned by father and son pair Jim and Zach Leopold, will include private game rooms for business parties, meetings, trivia nights and personal events up to 150 people, upon reservation, according to Cincinnati.com.
The parlor will feature unique artwork such as board game characters and murals from Cincinnati artist, Tony Capurro, said the site.
His collection started as donations from his friends but eventually bought used and new games, the site said.
Games will be free to play if visitors are eating and/or drinking. Sandwiches, salads and a bar are on site. Drink names will have a unique board game name.
Trivia nights and competitive tournaments will be offered regularly.
