Discovery Zoo otters Shiloh and Sushi have been on extended loan to other zoos as part of the AZA SSP for American river otters since April 2011. Splasher came from the Columbus Zoo with his brothers Diver and Glider at the same time that Shiloh and Sushi left. Glider is presently in the breeding program at the Akron Zoo.

Otters Eno & Sikwa will still be at the Boonshoft Museum wooing crowds with their playful antics. These two otters were born on January 25, 2016 and came from the Oakland Zoo in Oakland, California in 2017 and are still young.
