Dewey's Pizza announced that it is launching a seasonal pie on Monday, April 8, in partnership with Mike's Hot Honey — and perhaps a slight assist from some band called The Beatles.

The seasonal pizza is called “Sgt Peppers,” and it will be available starting Monday, April 8, at all Dewey’s locations, including the Dayton location off Brown Street near the University of Dayton.

A release from the Cincinnati-based Dewey’s makes no secret that the inspiration behind its Sgt Peppers pie comes comes from what it calls “one of the greatest rock albums of all time: Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band.”

“It was a concept album that created the idea of flowing one song track into the next. As a tribute to this ground-breaking idea and the iconic album artwork, Dewey’s Pizza was inspired to create a medley of red bell, Anaheim, fresh jalapeno and banana peppers, chopped pepperoni and crushed red pepper to provide a seamless experience of all things pepper with every bite.”

“The Sgt Peppers pizza is then topped off with Mike’s Hot Honey, a chili pepper-infused honey, which provides the pizza with the perfect amount of sweet to balance the peppers’ heat.”

From April 8th through May 4, Dewey’s Pizza and Mike’s Hot Honey will be celebrate their partnership with giveaways on social media and in all 25 of Dewey’s Pizza locations.

Dewey’s also operates a restaurant in West Chester.
