Did someone say BACON RIBS? What to eat at TJ Chumps' rib month

Here's something we learned this week: bacon ribs are a thing.

Crab lovers have their month to feast and so do folks who crave lobster, burgers and pretty much every over food under the sun.

So yeah, we took notice when TJ Chumps declared October its rib month.

It is feature the aforementioned bacon ribs (they taste like ham, bacon AND ribs) as well as bourbon beef ribs, pulled baby back ribs and spiced rub ribs.

Blake Wright, TJ Chumps’ executive chef, said that to know TJ Chumps ribs is to love TJ Chumps ribs.

Ribs are discounted on Sunday: $3 off a full slab, $2 off a half slab, $1 off a rib basket.

"People who come for the ribs, come for the ribs," he said. "Sunday is a huge day for ribs. We have our wings that are awesome, but we do the ribs better than anybody."

Dayton.com will be the judge of that. We tried the restaurant's rib month specials, as well as its traditional baby back ribs. It was 10s all around.

Check out the video above -- we'll tell you what you have to try.

Formed in Miamisburg, TJ Chumps has four locations: 12 E. Linden Ave, Miamisburg; 559 S. Main St., Englewood; 1100 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Road; Fairborn and 7050 Executive Boulevard, Huber Heights.
