Drumroll please …

We at Dayton.com are certainly excited about this announcement.

Fall is here, and so is Lily's Bistro's new seasonal menu.

Lily’s head chef Mariah Gahagan has designed a menu perfect for shorter days and cooler nights.

“We start with the ingredients that we can get fresh, and locally whenever possible, and then build from around that,” Gahagan said in a news release. “There are a few returning favorites this fall along with a number of new things we’re excited to share with our diners.”

DINNER

Highlights from the fall dinner menu include:

  • Miso Smoked Trout, Chorizo and Clams ($10)
  • Iron Skillet Spoonbread with whipped honey butter ($6)
  • Short Rib Ossobuco with Bone Marrow ($29)
  • Seared Duck Breast with Pomegranate-Orange Gastrique ($22)
  • Cavatappi Pasta ($19)
  • Baked apple stuffed with sage-sausage cornbread dressing and topped with cheddar ($4)

DRINKS

And don't forget the fall cocktails.

“We also feature a changing cocktail menu and this season there’s a real focus on rich autumnal flavors like brown sugar, dark berries, maple syrup and more,” Emily Mendenhall, general manager, said in the news release.

LUNCH

Lily's is open for lunch, too.

New items include:

  • Buffalo cauliflower bites with celery and bleu cheese ($8).
  • BLT&E: Bacon, lettuce, tomato and fried egg with housemade aioli on multigrain bread ($10).
  • Breakfast burrito with local, free range eggs, housemade chorizo, onions, pepper, cheddar, sour cream and housemade salsa ($10).
