The restaurant owned by the Benvenuto family has been serving “family recipes to pasta lovers,” for 31 years come June, according to its web page and Englewood city records.

Tony’s take on spaghetti aglio e olio, (spaghetti, garlic and oil in Italian) could surely fall into that category as the family finds its roots where the dish is a tradition.
The classic Italian dish finds comes from Naples, where it is kicked up a notch with red chili pepper flake (peperoncino rosso).

Tony’s take on spaghetti aglio e olio is simple and so very satisfying so vampires beware.
There is some serious garlic action going on here.
We estimate that at least two entire garlic heads were served in each of the servings we tried during a recent visit.

The sauteed cloves melted in our mouths, taking our taste buds on an adventure.
So yeah, we liked it.

The restaurant boasts that it serves “real Italian cuisine.”
Other dishes on the menu include garlic bread calamari rings swimming in fresh garlic, butter, wine and tomato sauce, baked clams, marinated artichoke, various spaghetti dishes, cannelloni, stuffed shells, baked ziti, pasta e fasul, fettucini bolognese, shrimp oreganata, chicken cacciatore, clam sauce vongole and several other dishes.

The kids’ menu includes spaghetti with meatballs, meat sauce or tomato sauce, ravioli and stuffed shells.
