No more wishing for warm weather. It’s officially here!

This week's weather forecast brought to you by our weather partners at WHIO weather calls for temperatures in the mid 70s and mostly clear skies. There's no weekday schedule too busy to enjoy spring weather as nice as that. Dayton has plenty of perfect ways to fit some time outdoors and sunshine between obligations.

The Bike for Health Challenge is designed to encourage bike riders to explore the Nation s Largest Paved Trail Network, located in the Miami Valley. Approximately 800 to 1,500 riders have participated in the event annually, but that number might increase this year as a majority of the rides will now be self-guided. CONTRIBUTED

Here are 5 ways to make the most of this week’s beautiful weather:

☀️1. Take your lunch break outdoors

Instead of spending your precious lunch break in a dreary cafeteria or office cubicle, make time to head to the Oregon District for a quick meal outside. Check out our official "Dayton patio guide" for some ideas and inspiration. After all, food tastes better with the sun warming your cheeks.

The Square Is Where returns for the season starting Tuesday, May 1. If you work downtown or close to downtown, this is the perfect way to put a little sunshine in your day. This free lunchtime entertainment takes place weekdays on Courthouse Square. From trivia to live music to giant outdoor games, it's a hot spot for lunch. Programming takes place from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Mondays through Fridays May 1 through Sept. 28.

Nice weather is a perfect excuse to spruce up your living space with fresh greenery. A trip to the closest greenhouse could take less than an hour, so your home could feel more welcoming in no time. We've conveniently listed some of our favorite greenhouses for you to visit in the area in our Dayton greenhouse guide.

☀️5. Make it a movie night Tuesday at The Neon

Dayton's favorite independent movie theater, The Neon, offers $5.50 ticket prices every Tuesday. Tuesday's temperature is looking like a high of 78 degrees, so it's a perfect for an evening for walking around the Oregon District and grabbing a few drinks before or after a show.
