By Justin Boggs, Staff Writer... The Famous San Diego Chicken is making his first visit to Dayton’s Fifth Third Field since 2010 on Thursday. The Famous Chicken has performed at more than 6,000 sporting events in at least 925 stadiums and arenas entertaining millions of people in all 50 states. The person inside of the costume, 61-year-old Ted Giannoulas of San Diego, shared with Dayton Daily News his 40 years of experience as “The Chicken.”
