Bengals red-zone rankings soaring

It was just over a month ago when the Cincinnati Bengals were ranked dead last in red zone touchdown percentage at 30.8.

That was after going 1 for 3 in the Week 4 victory against Miami. But in the last three weeks, the Bengals have gone 7 of 10, including 5 of 6 since in the two contests since tight end Tyler Eifert returned.

Their percentage has jumped to 52 (13 of 25) and their ranking has soared to 19th.

Last year the Bengals ranked fifth at 65.5 percent (38 of 58).

If this year’s trend is going to continue to rise, the Bengals are going have find success against the No. 1 red zone defense in the league Monday night. The New York Giants have held opponents to 11 touchdowns on 28 possessions (39.3).
