Griffin's absence has allowed the team to take a long look at rookie Cody Kessler, although Jackson's decision to yank Kessler during the Browns' loss to the Ravens last week raised questions about how he will finish out the year at that position.
Kessler has shown some potential, but Griffin is still an intriguing prospect as a former first-round draft pick who began his career with a bang in Washington before injuries derailed his career.
