Vasean Allette, a 6-foot-3 point guard in the class of 2023, took a recent visit to the Dayton Flyers, according to a report Monday on Twitter by Wes Brown, a Canadian basketball scout.

Brown shared a photo of Allette in a Dayton uniform with UD assistant coach James Kane. Allette also shared a series of photos on Instagram. He posed with Dayton guard Kobe Elvis, who’s also from Ontario, in one photo.

Allette is the 100th-ranked player in the class of 2023, according to 247Sports.com.

“He’s a super skilled guard who gets wherever he wants on the floor and can score but can also really defend,” Brown said in an interview with A-10 Vault earlier this year. “He has great hands. He can pick guys’ pockets, no matter who he’s guarding.”

Allette received a scholarship offer from Dayton in July. He’s from Scarborough, Ont., and attends United Scholastic Academy.

Allette visited Georgia Tech in September. He listed a top 10 of Dayton, Georgia Tech, Arizona State, DePaul, Boston College, St. Johns, Buffalo, University of California Santa Barbara, Virginia Commonwealth and Southern Methodist in August.

Dayton will have at least one scholarship open in the 2023 recruiting class. It has not received a commitment from a member of that class.
