Mella, a 24-year-old right-hander, was 8-14 with a 5.05 ERA in 27 starts this season for the Bats. Mella pitched two games with the Reds in 2017 and four games last season.
O’Grady hit. 280 with 28 home runs and 77 RBIs in 112 games with Louisville. He appeared in 10 games for the Reds last month, getting one hit in 12 at-bats.
Louisville’s season ended Monday.
