Dayton extends two more offers to members of 2023 class

Two members of the class of 2023 received scholarship offers from the Dayton Flyers on Saturday.

Dayton has now offered scholarships to six players in the 2023 class, and four of those players rank in the top 100 of the class, according to Rivals.com.

Taylor Bol Bowen, a 6-foot-8 forward who’s from Vermont and attends the Brewster Academy in New Hampshire, announced an offer from Dayton. He ranks 23rd in the 2023 class, according to 247Sports.com. He received offers from Marquette, Brown, Southern California and Ohio earlier this month.

Gavin Griffiths, a 6-7 guard from Kingswood Oxford School in West Hartford, Conn., also announced an offer from Dayton. He ranks 71st in the 2021 class, according to Rivals.com. He received offers from Rutgers, Fairfield and Bryant earlier this month and received an offer from Syracuse last October.

Bowen and Griffiths play for Expressions Elite, a Nike EYBL team. Both played in the NEPSAC (New England Preparatory School Athletic Council) Showcase this weekend.

Bowen and Griffiths are the fifth and sixth 2023 recruits to receive an offer from Dayton. They follow: Jayden Reid, a 5-foot-11 guard from Long Island Lutheran High School; Lawrent Rice, a 6-3 guard from Wayne High School; Gabe Cupps, a 6-2 guard from Centerville High School; and Jayden Hastings, a 6-foot-9 forward from Orlando (Fla.) Christian Prep.
