Fort Wayne completed a four-game sweep of Dayton with a 6-1 win. The loss left Dayton (54-54) reeling with a 1-6 road trip that also included a three-game series at Lansing. Having clinched a wildcard postseason spot in the first half of the Eastern Division Class A minor-league baseball season, the Dragons are 13-25 in the second half.

Dayton pulled even with Fort Wayne at 1-all in the seventh inning on Malik Collymore’s RBI-triple. The TinCaps responded with Marcus Greene Jr.’s three-run homer in the eighth inning.

Collymore had three hits. Dragons starting pitcher Matt Blandino (1-4) was tagged with the loss. Dragons reliever Jesse Adams extended his current scoreless streak to 17 consecutive appearances, spanning 22.2 innings. He retired all five batters he faced.

Siri snapped a 40-year-old Midwest League hitting streak record on Monday night also at Fort Wayne. Hitless in his first three at-bats and facing an 0-2 count in the eighth inning, he lined a single for his only hit. That snapped a tie of 35 straight games with a hit he shared with Tony Toups of the Waterloo Indians, who initially set the record in 1977.

Siri’s double on Tuesday was his only hit in four at-bats.

The Dragons return home to Fifth Third Field to begin a three-game series with the Great Lakes Loons (Dodgers) at 7 p.m. Wednesday. Reds starting pitcher Anthony DeSclafani is scheduled to start for the Dragons on a rehab assignment on Thursday. He won a team-high 18 games for the Reds in the 2015-16 seasons, but hasn’t pitched for the parent club this season since undergoing elbow surgery.
