Middletown’s Marshall goes undrafted; signs with Jets as free agent

Middletown High School graduate Jalin Marshall did not get drafted Saturday on the final day of the NFL Draft, but quickly signed with the New York Jets as an undrafted free agent.

Marshall, who left the Ohio State Buckeyes with two years of eligibility remaining, was the 22nd-ranked wide receiver in the draft, according to ESPN's Mel Kiper.

Marshall told cleveland.com the Jets were the team that showed the most interest in him throughout the entire draft process.

Marshall played in 22 games in his career and finished with 1,905 all-purpose yards and 13 touchdowns. He scored four touchdowns in one game against Indiana in 2014.
