In his first season in pro basketball in 2017-18, Pollard played in the NBA G League and then in Iceland. He played for the Dayton alumni team, Red Scare, in The Basketball Tournament last summer.

Pollard’s former teammate, Scoochie Smith, also a 2017 graduate, has returned to the NBA G League — and he’s playing closer to Dayton than ever.

Smith debuted with the Fort Wayne Mad Ants on Monday, one day after they announced they had acquired him from the Canton Charge in exchange for the returning player rights to Omari Johnson.
