Former Dayton guard Davis makes G League debut

Former Dayton Flyers guard Kyle Davis made his NBA G League debut Friday for the Rio Grande Valley Vipers in a 129-101 loss to the Grand Rapids Drive in Hidalgo, Texas.

Davis participated in preseason training camp for the Vipers, an affiliate of the Houston Rockets, but didn't make the final roster. The Vipers signed him Tuesday. He didn't play Wednesday against the Iowa Wolves in Des Moines, Iowa.

On Friday, Davis played four minutes and scored three points. He had a 3-point play in the final two minutes.

Davis finished his college career last March. He scored 830 points and ranks 67th in school history.

Former Flyer Kendall Pollard also played in the G League earlier this season with the Salt Lake City Stars. He averaged 4.2 points and 2.8 rebounds in 13 games. He was waived in December.

Former Flyer Chris Wright has appeared in 12 games for the Oklahoma City Blue, averaging 14.1 points and 4.2 rebounds.
