Hargrove leads Trotwood over Sycamore

Could it be? Could the Beavercreek Beavers be 3-0 after week three?

They are after a 35-23 win over Fairborn. Beavers running back Mike Bradshaw ran for 194 in the rain in mud.

Their GWOC Central rival Centerville was feeling the heat only three weeks into the 2015 high school football season.

They were 0-2, and scheduled to travel to Lebanon, with their season already on the brink. The Elks found their way, and beat Lebanon for the fourth consecutive time behind their potent offense.

Tippecanoe has had the better of Milton-Union recently in the long-time rivalry between the two schools, but the Red Devils had to put up an insurance score late to hold off the Bulldogs and improve to 3-0.

Carroll's bruising running back Corey Hastings - 6-foot-1, 225 pounds - pounded wounded Shawnee for yard after yard in a 29-13 victory. The Braves put up a fight despite being down to their fourth-string quarterback.

WEEK 3 HIGHLIGHTS

Raveion Hargrove piled up over 200 all-purpose yards and three touchdowns to help lead visiting Trotwood-Madison to a 27-21 win over Sycamore in high school football Friday.

Hargrove had 19 carries for 181 yards with two touchdowns along with three receptions for 24 yards and a touchdown. Quarterback Markell Stephens-Peppers finished 9-of-15 for 90 yards and two touchdowns, including a 23-yard strike to Roland Walker that put the Rams up 27-14 in the final quarter.

Trotwood (3-0) travels to Centerville (1-2) next Friday.

Wayne 28, Lakota West 9: Fred Pitts paced host Wayne (3-0) with 19 carries for 176 yards with three touchdowns.

Miamisburg 43, Troy 15: Jake Ross tallied 178 yards on the ground with three touchdowns to help host Miamisburg (3-0) defeat Troy (1-2).

Lakota East 42, Northmont 14: Avery Miliner had 15 carries for 126 yards and a touchdown but visiting Northmont fell to 0-3.

Greenville 42, Preble Shawnee 22: Clay Guillozet ran 13 times for 245 yards with two scores and Codi Byrd had 33 carries for 115 yards with three touchdowns for visiting Greenville (2-1).

Moeller 42, Xenia 12: Ryan Hudson had a fumble return for a score and Ray James, who finished with five receptions for 126 yards, caught a 40-yard pass from Danny Naylor for host Xenia (0-3).

Alter 26, Thurgood Marshall 0: Andy Turpin ran in a pair of scores and Aldon Sims had a rushing and receiving touchdown for host Alter (3-0).

Fenwick 35, Monroe 0: Michael Sheridan tallied three rushing touchdowns and Jimmy Gephart and Nathan Jeffers added a score each for visiting Fenwick (3-0).

Oakwood 27, Carlisle 7: Michael Hoecht carried 29 times for 183 yards and a touchdown and quarterback Adam Gallatin added TD runs of two and 17 yards for visiting Oakwood (1-2).

Valley View 12, Madison 6: Kole Smith put Valley View on the board with a 3-yard run and later connected with Collin Wood on a 45-yard touchdown pass to lead visiting Valley View (3-0) over Madison (1-2).

Eaton 47, Talawanda 0: Damon Willard had two rushing scores and a 66-yard interception return for a touchdown, quarterback Lew Bowser finished 9-of-13 for 141 yards with two passing TDs and Shelby Ward had a receiving TD and also scored on a fumble recovery for host Eaton (1-2).

Stebbins 48, Northeastern 7: Mason Dyer ran for three touchdowns and David Hickey had a passing and rushing TD for host Stebbins (3-0).
