FALL BASKETBALL LEAGUES FORMING AT KINGDOM SPORTS CENTER: Several fall basketball leagues are now forming at Kingdom Sports Center in Franklin. A league for boys and girls in grades 7-8 and 9-12 begins Sept. 12. Cost is $75 for eight games. Deadline to register is Sept. 5. A league for players in grades K-6 begins Sept. 12. MARIANNE MORRIS JUNIOR ACHIEVEMENT GOLF CLASSIC: The 15th Marianne Morris Junior Achievement Golf Classic will be held Sept. 13 at Wildwood Golf Club. The entry fee is $125 per person which includes greens fees, cart and steak dinner. Entries are limit to the first 32 foursomes. The deadline is Sept. 3. EVEN THE SCORE GOLF OUTING SLATED FOR WEATHERWAX: The 14th annual Even the Score golf outing will be held Sept. 27 at Weatherwax Golf Course. The event is sponsored by The Arc of Butler County, a non-profit human rights organization of family members and friends committed to improving opportunities for individuals of all ages with developmental disabilities. Entry fees, which include golf, lunch and dinner, are $100 per person, $400 for a team of four and $25 for dinner only. Lunch begins at 11 a.m., followed by a shotgun start at 12:30 p.m. and dinner after golf. The registration deadline is Sept. 17. CITY OF HAMILTON DAY WITH THE REDHAWKS DATE SET: The Hamilton Parks and Recreation and Miami University have teamed up for “City of Hamilton Day with the RedHawks” when the Miami RedHawks host Colorado State in a college football game at Yager Stadium on Saturday, Sept. 18. The City of Hamilton will be part of the pregame and halftime festivities. MIDDLETOWN SEASON TICKETS ON SALE: Middletown High School season tickets for the upcoming year are available. The athletic department encourages all previous season ticket holders to order their tickets in order to secure the seats they held last year. BASKETBALL OFFICIATING CLASSES BEGIN SEPT. 26: Anyone, male or female, age 14 years and older is eligible to become a licensed referee.
