MCS golfers win tri-match

BOYS GOLF

MCS 166, CARLISLE 193, DIXIE 232: Middletown Christian defeated Carlisle and Dixie in a tri-match Thursday, Aug. 19, on the Meadows course at Shaker Run Golf Club in Lebanon. MCS’ Brooks Curry was the medalist, shooting a 3-over-par 39. Brad Paynter led Carlisle with a 41, finishing second overall. MCS’ Erik Gregory and Taylor Baldwin were next with 42s, followed by fellow Eagles Grant Nisbet at 43 and Luke Dotson (44). Eric Ruxer led Dixie with a 48. Middletown Christian will host Princeton on Tuesday at Shaker Run.

MIDDIES HOSTING OHSAA JAMBOREE GAME:

Middletown will host a high school football scrimmage against Trotwood Madison on Saturday, Aug. 21, at Barnitz Stadium as part of the Ohio High School Athletic Association’s Jamboree. The freshman team will begin at 5 p.m., the junior varsity game is at 6 p.m and varsity kicks off at 7 p.m. Cost is $5 adults, $3 for students.
