George Asafo-Adjei might not need to buy too many new clothes at the next level.

The Lakota West graduate who was a standout at Kentucky is headed to New York after the Giants drafted him in the seventh round of the 2019 NFL Draft on Saturday.

That means he can keep blue ad a dominant part of his color scheme as he tries to earn a spot in pro football.

The 6-foot-5, 315-pound offensive lineman started 23 games for the Wildcats and was part of a senior class whose 29 wins are the second-most of any UK senior class since freshmen became eligible in 1972 .

He will head to the Big Apple with a community and leadership development degree in hand after graduating in December and is the second area player to be drafted this year.

Wes Martin, an offensive lineman from Milton-Union who played at Indiana, was drafted by the Washington Redskins in the fourth round.
