Northmont to add 8 to hall of fame

Northmont High School will induct eight into its athletic hall of fame Saturday.

Being inducted are:

Tyler Horner, 2005 graduate; football (record-setting QB), baseball.

Aaron Lewis, '03; football (record-setting LB), wrestling, baseball.

Carrie Sigler, '95; basketball, softball.

Dee Dee Schutte-Snyder, '92,; soccer, basketball.

John Young, '82; baseball.

Chuck Harlow, '73; varsity baseball coach since 1985 with 662 career wins. Also coached boys and girls basketball and golf.

Doug P. Longenecker, MD, Athlete and 1957 Phillipsburg grad; basketball, track and field, Chief of Staff at Good Smaritan Hospital.

Jim Weaks, deceased community supporter; owner of "The Barn," on Southway Road in Clayton, a popular spot where Northmont youths would play basketball.

The inductees will be introduced at the high school auditorium at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. Following dinner at the school cafeteria a formal induction will take place between the girls varsity basketball game that night against Troy and the boys game at about 7:30 p.m.
