Ohio State football announced Tuesday its 2017 season opener at Indiana has been moved to Aug. 31.

That means the Buckeyes will start on a Thursday night for the third time.

The last time was 2010, when Ohio State beat Marshall 45-7.

Before that, the Buckeyes downed Wyoming 24-10 in 1997.

The last time Ohio State opened the season against a Big Ten team was Michigan State in 1976.
