The Bengals might be without linebacker Vontaze Burfict for five games next season, which Pro Football Focus (and about everyone else) sees as concerning.

PFF grades Burfict as perhaps the best linebacker in the stacked AFC North.

"Burfict excelled in run defense last year, boasting the third-highest run-stop percentage (percentage of plays against the run where a defender records a tackle resulting in a defensive stop) among 28 qualifying 4-3 outside linebackers with 10.2," PFF said. "His 26 stops (a tackle that constitutes a win for the defense) against the run were the fifth-most in the league among 34 qualifying 4-3 outside linebackers."

PFF graded Burfict with an overall of 87.1, second best among AFC linebackers behind only the Jaguars’ Pau Posluszny.
