Bengals Weekend Forecast: First glance at the Steelers

While much of the focus this week will be on the Cincinnati Bengals’ playoff drought that has lasted 25 years, the Pittsburgh Steelers have had their own postseason struggles of late.
The Steelers (10-6) will be looking to snap a three-game postseason losing streak that dates to the 2010 season when they come to Paul Brown Stadium on Saturday for a Wild-Card rubber match against the Bengals (12-4).
Pittsburgh owns the No. 3-ranked offense in the league, but the team could be down to its third-string running back after DeAngelo Williams was carted off with an ankle injury in Sunday’s season finale at Cleveland. Williams replaced Le’Veon Bell as the starter after Bell suffered a season-ending knee injury in a 16-10 loss to the Bengals on Nov. 1.
If Williams is unable to go, Pittsburgh will turn to Fitzgerald Toussaint, a second-year player with 18 carries for 42 yards (2.3) this season.
While that’s a considerable drop off from Williams (907 yards, 11 touchdowns), the Pittsburgh offense is built around quarterback Ben Roethlisberger and the passing game.
The Steelers ranked third in the league in passing offense (287.7 yards per game) and tied for fourth in scoring offense (26.4 points per game).

Wide receiver Antonio Brown — whom Bengals defensive coordinator Paul Guenther called "Public Enemy No. 1 on their offense for us" — finished tied for the NFL lead in receptions with 136 (Atlanta's Julio Jones) and second in receiving yards with 1,834.

Pittsburgh is one of two teams to score more than 24 points against a Bengals defense that finished second in the league in scoring defense with a franchise-record 279 points allowed.
