Miami falls to Western Michigan in MAC Tournament

The 12th-seeded Miami RedHawks dropped a 65-61 decision to No. 5 Western Michigan on Monday in a first-round Mid-American Conference tournament game.

Miami (11-21) was led by Abdoulaye Harouna (15 points) and Michael Weathers (14).

The Miami RedHawks were without head coach John Cooper. Associate head coach Rick Duckett filled in for Cooper, who was ill according to a press release from the school.

WMU (16-15) advanced to face No. 4 Ball State on Thursday at Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland.
