Report: Mike Nugent’s time with the Patriots coming to an end

Mike Nugent’s return to the NFL might be brief.

The NFL Network reported Tuesday the Centerville native who was recently inducted into the Ohio State Varsity O Athletics Hall of Fame is being released by the New England Patriots after four games.

He is 5 for 8 in field goal attempts this season but made only 2 of 4 Sunday as the team beat the Browns 27-13.

Nugent is in his 15th season, a career that included seven seasons with the Bengals.
