Dick Williams, the team’s president of baseball operations, said Feldman could be a good fit in Great American Ball Park.
“With this signing, we are adding someone who can compete for a spot in the rotation but help us in multiple ways,” Williams said in a release. “As a ground ball pitcher, we think Scott’s pitching profile aligns with our park.”
The Reds will announce a roster move later today to make room for Feldman on the 40-man roster.

The Cincinnati Reds have signed free-agent pitcher Scott Feldman, according to several published reports.
Ken Rosenthal of Fox Sports was the first to report the deal.

The Reds have not announced the deal.
Feldman, a 6-foot-7 right-hander, pitched primarily out of the bullpen last season for Houston and Toronto, compiling a 7-4 record with a 3.97 ERA in 77 innings of work.
The 33-year-old is a 12-year major league veteran. Prior to last season, he was used mostly as a starter in stints with Texas, Chicago (NL), Baltimore and Houston. Feldman, who has started 183 games, is 71-77 with a 4.40 ERA for his career.
Reds pitchers and catchers report to spring training Feb. 13 in Goodyear, Ariz.
