Toppin scored a career-high 29 points on 10-of-16 shooting with six dunks and 12 rebounds on Saturday in a season-opening 86-81 victory against Indiana State at UD Arena.
One week into the college basketball season, Toppin ranks seventh in the KenPom.com national player of the year standings.
Dayton returns to action at 7 p.m. Saturday against Charleston Southern.
