This weekend, high pressure and low moisture will bring chilly temperatures and clear skies, followed by warming weather during the work week, according to the National Weather Service in Wilmington.

We will begin this morning with some clouds developing before dawn, though skies will still be mostly sunny. The clouds will clear again throughout the day.

Temperatures will be cool today with a high around 43 degrees. After dark temperatures will drop below freezing to a low around 24 degrees.

Sunday will be largely the same as today, starting with a few clouds developing by dawn and dispersing during the day.

Highs will be around 46 degrees, and again fall below freezing to a low around 29 degrees.

On Sunday night, however, we will see some clouds develop starting around dark as the high-pressure system moves out of the area.

Skies will still be mostly clear, but clouds will stay with us through the day on Monday.

Monday, temperatures will jump upward to a high around 60 degrees, accompanied by breezy winds.

Overnight Monday, the NWS predicted clouds will increase, for partly cloudy skies by Tuesday morning.

Lows on Monday night will fall to around 40 degrees.
