Clouds to clear, cool night on its way

Isolated showers are on their way this afternoon for the eastern viewing area.

A few isolated showers have developed in Champaign, Clark, Greene and Clinton counties as well as in the Cincinnati metro area. Showers will slowly move east and away the rest of the afternoon, said Storm Center 7 Chief Meteorologist Jamie Simpson.

The majority of the area will just have scattered clouds until early evening but will clear. Tonight will be cool with morning readings in the mid 50s.

Simpson said Wednesday will be sunnier and a touch warmer as a result with highs in the low 80s.

A gradual warm-up starts the rest of the week with highs in the upper 80s Friday and the weekend. More scattered clouds arrive for the weekend but probably not rain.

There is a small chance of an afternoon shower Saturday and Sunday but better chances coming early next week, according to Simpson.
