Dry, seasonably warm today and tomorrow; Chance of showers and storms return mid-week

Today and tomorrow will be summery, with dry conditions and seasonably warm temperatures before rain and thunderstorms return for the second half of the work week.

Today will be sunny with highs in the low to mid-80s, according to the National Weather Service in Wilmington. Light winds are possible in the late afternoon and evening.

Overnight, temperatures will drop to the low 60s.

Tomorrow will be similar, with highs in the upper 80s. Skies will be clear during the day, allowing for plenty of sunshine.

Lows will be in the mid-60s overnight.

Clouds will move into the region early Wednesday, resulting in an overcast day. There’s a chance for some rain and thunderstorms late Wednesday and into Thursday, according to NWS.

Highs will be around 86 degrees with lows around 69.

The best chance for rain is Thursday, with showers likely for most of the day, according to NWS. It’s not clear at this time whether any storms Wednesday or Thursday could be strong or severe.

Highs will be in the mid-80s with temperatures in the upper 60s overnight.

Rain chances will start to decrease after 6 a.m. Friday, but will pick back up in the evening, according to NWS.

Temperatures will reach the upper 80s before dipping into the upper 60s overnight.
