A line of showers and thunderstorms will push through the area from northwest to southeast throughout Friday. There is a chance of showers and thunderstorms before 1 p.m., then showers and possibly a thunderstorm between 1 and 2 p.m., then showers and thunderstorms likely after 2 p.m. There is a low probability for widespread hazardous weather, the NWS said.
Rain and storm chances continue Friday night, mainly before 2 a.m., but fall off as the cold front settles in by dawn. Overnight temperatures will fall to a low around 65 degrees.
A cooler and dry weekend is expected with high temperatures in the low 80s.
