Today will be hot and humid with a few clouds, ahead of a chance of rain returning to end the week, according to the National Weather Service in Wilmington.

Highs will be around 87 degrees today, with clouds gradually increasing throughout the day and night. Temperatures will dip to around 69 degrees overnight.

On Friday, there will be a chance of rain starting around dawn and increasing as the day goes on and continuing throughout the night. There will also be a chance of storms starting in the afternoon and staying overnight.

Skies will be mostly cloudy and it will be breezy, with highs reaching near 83 degrees. Winds and clouds will decrease overnight, though skies will still be mostly overcast. Lows will be around 71 degrees.

Saturday, there will be a chance of showers and storms throughout the day and night, though thunderstorm chances will fall away shortly after midnight.

Clouds will decrease throughout the day for partly cloudy skies around nightfall.

Winds will be breezy in the afternoon, and temperatures will be hot, with a high around 87 degrees and a low around 73 degrees.
