Clouds increase tonight; Cold front to bring rain over weekend

Clouds will increase tonight as temperatures dip overnight to just below freezing, with lows around 30 degrees, according to the National Weather Service in Wilmington.

It will be a little warmer on Saturday with highs around 51 degrees, though clouds will increase again in the afternoon for mostly cloudy skies by sundown.

Saturday night, an approaching cold front will bring rain chances starting around midnight. Overnight lows will be around 41 degrees.

Showers will be likely around dawn on Sunday.

Sunday will be rainy, with chances of showers only starting to fall in the afternoon, although rain chances will linger until around midnight.

Highs Sunday will be around 52 degrees, though temperatures will drop in the wake of the cold front to a low around 26 degrees.

On Monday, the NWS predicted highs will barely rise above freezing.
